Hi, I hope everybody's coping with the WFH/remote work recommendations. At DataStax, we had planned a number of events this year but like many others, we had to change those plans. So we started offering a number of events online.

Apache Cassandra は、多くの先進的な企業が大きなワークロードを取り扱う時に利用しているスケーラブルな NoSQL データベースです。このオンラインワークショップでは、Apache Cassandra の最も基本的な考え方を取り上げ、Cassandra での開発を始めるにあたって必要となる知識を確実に得ることを目指します。

Cassandra 向けの開発ツールを利用して実際に動くアプリケーションをハンズオンで構築していく演習もします。

ワークショップの内容

Cassandra に合う適切なユースケースを判別するために必要な基本アーキテクチャの把握
Cassandra を最大限に有効活用するための実際的なデータモデリング手法
Cassandra Query Language (CQL) を使った一般的な操作の経験
Java、Python、NodeJS のいずれかお好きな言語で Cassandra アプリを構築するためのベストプラクティス
Cassandra のエキスパートとオンラインでリアルタイムに対話

ワークショップが終わるまでには、NoSQL の基本的な考え方や Cassandra を活用するための十分な知識を獲得できます。

ワークショップの準備

ワークショップの前でも途中でも何もインストーする必要はありません。使用するブラウザは、Firefox もしくは Chrome を推奨します。VPN が設定されている場合には、HTTP、HTTPS でのアクセスで任意のウェブサイトに制限なしにアクセスできる必要があります。

Preparing for the workshop

You will not need to install anything prior to the workshop, or even during the workshop. We recommend either Firefox or Chrome browser. VPN software should allow for unrestricted access to web sites via HTTP and HTTPS.
