ワークショップの内容

今回のワークショップでは、Apache Cassandra の力と、Kubernetes のクラウドネイティブなリソースとベストプラクティスによる DevOps パイプラインを組み合わせて、今日のモダンなアプリケーションのニーズに対応する方法を案内します。

まず Cassandra のアーキテクチャと論理障害ドメイン、およびこのアーキテクチャを補完する Kubernetes コンポーネント群を紹介します。その後、Operator と Custom Resource Definition を活用してアーキテクチャを簡素化することで、Cassandra クラスターを個別の Kubernetes リソースの集まりではなく、一つの論理的な単位として扱えるようにします。

ワークショップの準備

ワークショップの前でも途中でも何もインストーする必要はありません。 使用するブラウザは、Firefox もしくは Chrome を推奨します。VPN が設定されている場合には、HTTP、HTTPS でのアクセスで任意のウェブサイトに制限なしにアクセスできる必要があります。

About this Event

Apache Cassandra has answered this call for over a decade as the premier distributed database for production-at-scale workloads. From financial services transactions to entertainment streaming services, Cassandra is present in the applications and backend architectures that impact our daily lives.

What we will cover?

This workshop will showcase the power of Apache Cassandra™️ combined with Kubernetes cloud-native resources and best practice DevOps pipelines to support today’s modern application needs.

We will introduce you to Cassandra’s architecture and logical fault domains as well as the Kubernetes components that complement this architecture. We’ll then shift to simplifying your architecture by leveraging operators and custom resource definitions, so you can think about your Cassandra cluster as a logical unit instead of a collection of individual Kubernetes resources.

You will not need to install anything prior to the workshop, or even during the workshop. We recommend either Firefox or Chrome browser. VPN software should allow for unrestricted access to web sites via HTTP and HTTPS.
