9/27(火)にMeetupの開催を公開させていただきましたが、急遽の開催決定かつ内容もあまり決まっていないにもかかわらず、当日中に想定の参加枠が埋まってしまい、またしても主催者側の見積もりの甘さを露呈している状況です。 Yahoo! JAPANとの協議とご好意により、スペースをより広く利用できることとなりましたので、募集枠を倍の100名に増員いたしました。 また、Cassandra コミュニティーからのスピーカーとして Works Applications の高島氏より、勉強会で好評だったデータモデリングについて、さらにブラッシュアップしたバージョンをお話しいただけることとなりました。 DataStax からは Brad Vernon 氏が Apache Cassandra 3.x の最新機能について、特にインパクトの大きいものを中心にお話をします。

After announcing the meetup on September 27th, while it was a short notice and with some speaking slots yet to be decided, the capacity was full within the same day, again exhibiting our inablity to be appropriate. Yahoo! Japan has kindly allowed us to expand the use of their space and now we are increasing to a capacity of a 100. Also, with regard to updates about speakers, Mr. Takashima of Works Applications as member of the Cassandra Community Japan will talk about a brushed up version of his Cassandra Data Modeling talk which was well received at the Cassandra study group meeting. Mr. Vernon from DataStax will be talking about the latest from Apache Cassandra 3.x focusing on the impactful new features.

概要

Cassandra Meetup, 2016年秋を急遽開催する運びとなりました。今回の meetup は、ヤフー株式会社の新本社オフィスとなる紀尾井町オフィスのコワーキングスペースをお借りして開催いたします。

このたびは、ヤフーさんも参加し、セッションでの発表も行った 9月7日〜9日にかけて米国で開催された Cassandra Summit 2016 の参加報告を始め、Apache Cassandra に対して行ったコントリビューションについてのお話、Cassandra コミュニティーからは Works Applications の高島さんに Apache Cassandra におけるデータモデリングについてお話をいただく予定です。DataStax からは Brad Vernon 氏が Apache Cassandra 3.x の最新機能等について解説します。

公演後、親睦会（無料）を開催予定です。Cassandraコミュニティのメンバー、ヤフーの技術者の方、DataStaxのメンバー、ユーザー等との交流を予定しておりますので、是非ともご参加ください。

※ DataStax 社のエンジニアによる講演に関しては英語での講演予定です。発表終了後のQAについては逐次通訳いたします。 それ以外については日本語での講演となります

○南北線（永田町駅9a出口）
9a出口を出て直進してください（1両目が最寄り）。
東京ガーデンテラスに直結しています。
店舗エリアを直進し、右手の自動ドアから2階オフィスエントランスホールへお入りください。

○半蔵門線（永田町駅7番出口）
7番出口を出てください（10両目が最寄り）。
川を挟んだ右手に東京ガーデンテラスが見えますので、橋を渡ります。
1階「ディーン&デルーカ（カフェ）」の前にある道を進み、少し歩くと右手にエスカレーターがありますので、2階に上がります。
左手の自動ドアからオフィスエントランスホールへお入りください。

○有楽町線、半蔵門線（永田町駅9a出口）
5番出口の脇の通路を上がり、9a出口を出て直進してください（1両目が最寄り）。
東京ガーデンテラスに直結しています。
店舗エリアを直進し、右手の自動ドアから2階オフィスエントランスホールへお入りください。
※途中にある9b出口から出ないようお気をつけください。
※半蔵門線は地上に出るルート（永田町駅7番出口）の方がやや近いのですが、悪天候の場合はこちらの地下ルートがおすすめです。

○銀座線、丸ノ内線（赤坂見附駅D出口）
D番出口を出てください（両線1両目が最寄り）。
目の前の横断歩道を渡って左折し、橋を渡ると右手にあるのが東京ガーデンテラスです。
1階「ディーン&デルーカ（カフェ）」の前にある道を進み、少し歩くと右手にエスカレーターがありますので、2階に上がります。
左手の自動ドアからオフィスエントランスホールへ入りください。

━【道順：2階エントランス～LODGEまで】━

エントランス正面のカウンターにイベント受付がありますので、ビジターカードを受け取り、首からさげてください。
向かって右手にあるフラッパーゲートを通過し、左側のエレベーターで18Fへ上がります（警備員がいますが、そのまま通過できます）。
エレベーターを降りたら、「来客受付」と書かれている方へ進みます（左折）。
突き当たりをもう一度左折し、右手にある来客フロアにお入りください。
左方向に見える内階段から17階へ降りると、そこが「LODGE」です。

INTRODUCTION

Cassandra Meetup 2016 Fall is here!

We will have a Cassandra meetup at Yahoo! Japan's brand new office in Kioicho.

This time, people from Yahoo! Japan will talk about the Cassandra Summit 2016 that was held in San Jose, California from September 7th to 9th in which they had a session. They will also talk about some of the contributions they have done so far to Apache Cassandra. Mr. Takashima of Works Applications, a member of the Cassandra Community in Japan will also give a talk on data modeling, and Mr. Vernon from DataStax will be talking about the latest impacful changes in Apache Cassandra 3.x.

We will also have a beer bash after the meetup so you get to meet engineers of Yahoo! Japan, DataStax members, and other peers in person. It's free so join us!

NOTE: The talk by Mr. Vernon of DataStax will be in English. There will be an interpreter for Q&A.

・Direct underground access from 9a Exit of Nagatacho Station, Tokyo Metro

━【Directions from the station to the 2F entrance】━

○Namboku Line（Nagatacho Station Exit 9a）
Exit from Exit 9a and go straight (riding on Car 1 will be the closest to the exit) which leads you directly to Tokyo Garden Terrace.
Go through the shopping area and pass through the automatic door on your right to enter the 2F entrance hall of the office building.

○Hanzomon Line（Nagatacho Station Exit 7）
Exit from Exit 7 (riding on Car 10 will be the closest to the exit).
You will see Tokyo Garden Terrace on your right across the moat, cross the bridge.
You will see Dean & Deluca on the 1F of Tokyo Garden Terrace. Proceed further and take the escalator on your right to 2F. The office building will be to your left as you descend the escalator so pass
through the automatic door to enter the 2F entrance hall.

○Yurakucho Line, Hanzomon Line（Nagatacho Station Exit 9a）
Exit from Exit 9a and go straight (riding on Car 1 will be the closest to the exit) which leads you directly to Tokyo Garden Terrace.
Go through the shopping area and pass through the automatic door on the right to enter the 2F entrance hall of the office building.

※Do not exit from Exit 9b.

○Ginza Line, Marunouchi Line (Akasaka-mitsuke Station Exit D)
Exit from Exit D (for both lines, riding on Car 1 will be the closest to the exit).
Cross the road right in front of you and turn left. Cross the bridge and you will see Tokyo Garden Terrace on your right.
You will see Dean & Deluca on the 1F of Tokyo Garden Terrace. Proceed further and take the escalator on your right to 2F. The office building will be to your left as you descend the escalator so pass
through the automatic door to enter the 2F entrance hall.

━【Directions from the 2F entrance to LODGE】━

The reception for the event will be in the 2F entrance hall.
Please receive a visitor card and have it around your neck at all times.
Pass through the flap gates on the right and take the elevator (visitor elevator) to 18F.
Turn left as you descend the elevator. (There will be a sign “来客受付 (Visitor reception)”
Turn left again and enter the visitor area on your right.
You will see a staircase on your left to go down to 17F, and you are in “LODGE”
